Too often, I have prospective clients in my office telling me that their current counsel told them to take an approach that did not align with their goals. Sometimes that means contesting issues when a party would prefer a quick settlement. Other times it means accepting the first plea deal offered by the DA without trying to negotiate for something better, and they don’t understand why.

Either way, the person sitting across from me doesn’t feel heard, and now they’re concerned. Even if the attorney’s plan is something I’d do, the problem is the communication breakdown. This problem is the foundation of how we practice.

Your Outcomes and Objectives

At Croslin Law, we listen. The client gives us the goals and objectives they want for their case, and we discuss the strategy that best gets you to your goal. If that means wrapping up a divorce as quickly as possible, taking a criminal case to a jury trial, or protecting your assets from creditors as far as the law allows, we strive to create the strategy that aligns with your goal.

We Teach, You Instruct

The law is complicated and overwhelming. That’s why we strive to explain it in a way you can understand, so that you can make fully informed decisions about the important parts of your life. Once you have made a decision, we will implement the plan that is most likely to get you to your goal. There are limits, however. We will not harass a plaintiff in a protective order case, for example, nor will we demand that the opposing party in a domestic violence divorce case attend marriage counseling. Those limits are not negotiable. They are the standards this practice was built on.

If you want a lawyer who listens and explains every step, give us a call to see how we can help.
